We took Jackson to get his 4 month pictures taken by Angela Smith last Sunday. I took a bag full of outfits, you would have thought we were moving in! The shoot started out kinda rocky as Jackson was crying and then had a big poopy diaper :) But after that, he was happy and we got some really great photos. Angela sent us one as a teaser and I can't wait to get the rest of them! So here it is... I think I'm going to enter it in a contest! He's so cute!!
We've had some major snow storms here in Virginia over the past 2 weeks, right around 40 or so inches of snow! For almost 6 days most places were closed. We got the big blizzard the weekend of my birthday and it cancelled most of our plans. I was bummed but it was still nice to be snowed in with my 2 favorite people. Right before the snow came, we were able to go out to dinner with Laura & BJ to Buffalo Wild Wings and that was fun. On my birthday, it was also Superbowl Sunday. Our plans to go to our friends Billy & Carrie's house were cancelled after our attempt to drive to their house was haulted because of the bad roads. Then we got an invitation to come to our friend Amy's parents house to watch the game. It was not far from our house so we decided to go. It was alot of fun. They had a house full of people. We even won a gift card to PF Chang's. It's an upscale asian restaurant. So here are some pictures of the snow storm and from my birthday.
So my family was visiting my Mom's parents in Florida over Christmas and returned home on Dec. 30th. We went to their house that day and stayed until Jan 3. It was a nice visit for those few days. We did alot...visited with friends, Grandparents, went with Christy to watch her try on wedding gowns and Julie and I tried on bridesmaids dresses, went to Riley Kontul's baptism and then celebrated Christmas with the family on Saturday. We also went to Aunt Marian's for New Year's Eve and played some really fun games with the cousins. We always have a fun time together.
Our Christmas started Dec 23 when we headed home to Pittsburgh - destination Natrona Heights to be with the Schnur family. We had a really nice relaxing visit and got to introduce Jackson to some of Carl's long time neighbors. On Christmas we woke up at 7am, had breakfast, opened gifts, went to lunch at Uncle Dave's and then to my sister Julie's for Christmas dinner. It was a very nice day. I felt pretty grown up going to my sister's house (who has a baby!) and having dinner with just the 2 couples and babies. Jake and Jackson exchanged gifts and it was really cute. Jake was good at opening his presents and he really liked Sophie (the giraffe chew toy!)
