Last night Carl and I went to our 1st of 4 birthing classes. It was pretty interesting and informative and there are some really nice couples there. This whole pregnancy got a whole lot more real last night! Carl is more excited too :) I'm feeling great and will post some belly pics soon!
What's going on with Baby Boy this week?
Your baby weighs 1 1/4 pounds and is a little more than 11 inches long. In the last third of pregnancy, he'll double and triple his weight. Your dexterous baby can touch and hold his feet and make a fist. Your partner may be able to hear his heartbeat by pressing his ear against your belly. Your baby has a regular sleep schedule now and active and inactive periods. You may or may not be able to discern what those periods are. His nostrils, which have been plugged, open up.

June is here and so is Summer!!
I can't believe it's June already! I'm excited to be helping to plan my sister Julie's baby shower coming up on July 5th and then mine on August 22nd. It's so much fun!
I had my 23 week appointment this morning and BabyBoy is doing great! Right on schedule - his heart beat was 145. My next appt is in a month and I will have the glucose test done. Not too excited about it, but after having a root canal I'm not so scared of needles anymore :/
We've been working on our baby registry at Babies R Us and Buy Buy Baby. We're just so excited for our little miracle to get here!
What's going on with Baby??
Turn on the radio and sway to the music. With his sense of movement well developed by now, your baby can feel you dance. And now that he's more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound you may be able to see him squirm underneath your clothes. Blood vessels in his lungs are developing to prepare for breathing, and the sounds that your baby's increasingly keen ears pick up are preparing for his entry into the outside world. Loud noises that become familiar now — such as your dog barking or the roar of the vacuum cleaner — probably won't faze him when he hears them outside the womb.
The end of this week is an important milestone: Your one-pounder would have a good chance of survival if born now--about 85 percent if given the right care. His body is well proportioned, although lacking in body fat, and the blood vessels in his lungs are developing to prepare for breathing.

19 Weeks!
Wow I can't believe I'm almost halfway done with my pregnancy. Time has really started to go fast! This past weekend it was my sister Christy's college graduation from St. Francis University. She is now officially a Physician Assistant! We're so proud of her :) Here is a new picture of Julie and I who are expecting 7 weeks apart!
As far as Baby Schnur goes, I'm feeling more and more movement everyday. It's such a miracle! We had a doctor's appt this week and everything is great. His heart rate was 148. Our next appt is June 9th.

IT'S A BOY!!!!!!
Yes the news is true! We're having a boy! I'll get the sonogram pictures posted soon. Everything with the baby is perfect and on track. I hardly slept last night! I felt like it was Christmas Eve - every hour I was waking up to see if it was time to get up. Not to mention that I also had 2 separate dreams about a baby boy!!
Now onto starting our registry tonight! Can't wait!! We do have the name picked out but are keeping it a surprise until the baby arrives :) My next appt is May 12th!
Thanks to all who voted in our poll!!
The little one was hiding from us! He kept covering his face with his hands so we couldn't get a clear 3D shot of his face!

3 days til we find out!
The anticipation is rising as we wait to find out what our little baby is on Monday. I have created a poll to the left to see what everyone thinks we will have. Let us know!!
I just realized that you can't leave your name when you vote so feel free to comment on this blog with anything you'd like to say regarding your vote :) I'm going to save the comments to put in the baby book!
